I took this photo while on patrol in a village in Parwan Province, just outside of Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. Usually when I raise my camera up to my eye the children run off, fearing for their lives. This guy kept peeking around the corner taking “pictures” of me. I’m so glad I could capture this moment.
